Just after our Pizza dinner we caught up with our buddy boat Yuma who was almost stationary so we called them on the VHF to check all was well, they were with a feeding humpback whale so we set a course to join them. This presented a great experience to watch and photograph a whale at close quarters, after spending an hour or so with the humpback we also noticed a fin whale nearby but this one was a little camera shy…
We have now resumed our track south and whilst we have had some periods of sailing today we expect to be motoring for a while as the wind is just a gentle breeze at 3-6 knots.. Its rained a fair bit but at least the sea is calm.
