Nice update from the developers at TimeZero Navigation Software introducing their own version of AIS over the Internet, and fixing a recent bug in the integration of PredictWinds Data Hub Over the Internet AIS for the iBoat App. We love this app, it has by far the cleanest interface for displaying NMEA data and tidal information. aAnd the ability to switch between Vector, Raster and other layers, including weather overlays.. the dynamic mooring function is very useful for understanding how an anchorage will be impacted by changes in the weather. And the best bit is the support team are incredibly responsive to fixing bugs, listening to feedback, and correcting chart errors. Last Friday, we had the pleasure of giving a talk at the Manchester Yacht Club about our adventures sailing in high latitudes including our Viking Route passage to the USA via Greenland 🤩This was made possible by Ernest Godshalk, the Ocean Cruising Club port officer for Boston area who has been extremely helpfull. Every time we arrive in a new country on Snow Bear, we’re always greeted by incredibly friendly and helpful locals.
